Professor Laura Stark (University of Jyväskylä) will hold a research funding application workshop. The workshop will begin with a hybrid lecture (30 min.) and continue with the actual workshop (90 min.).

In the workshop, participants will learn how to write a successful research plan, and understand what it is like to be an evaluator. Participants will anonymously evaluate everyone else’s research plan that has been sent to the organizers before the workshop.

  • Participants: 16 PhD students or postdocs who are members of the Finnish Anthropological Society or affiliated with Tampere University Social Anthropology program. Note: If you cannot attend the workshop, you can still watch the lecture online.

    • Max. 16 attendees will be selected in the order of registration. The rest can register for the lecture only and attend it remotely.
    • Deadline for registration is 9 May 2024.
    • Attendees for the workshop will be sent instructions for a 2-page research plan on 10 May 2024. The research plan should be sent to Arvi Pihlman by 20 May 2024.
    • Attendees for the lecture only will be sent a participation link before the event.
