Conference venues

Wednesday, October 5th

Ethnoraphic Film Day takes place in the House of Science and Letters (Tieteiden talo, Kirkkokatu 6 00170 Helsinki) room 404, fourth floor. The event is free of charge, and guests are invited to come and go as they choose.

The Edvard Westermarck Memorial Lecture is held in the Helsinki University Main Building, Old side, Auditorium XV (Unioninkatu 34, near Senate Square). The lecture is free of charge and open for all. Please note that there is no wheelchair access to auditorium XV.

Thursday, October 6th

The conference commences at the House of Science and Letters (Tieteiden talo, Kirkkokatu 6, 00170 Helsinki). Key note lectures are held in room 104, first floor. The registration desk is on the 5th floor. Workshops take place on the 4th and 5th floor.

Friday, October 7th

The conference continues at the House of Science and Letters. The registration desk is on the 5th floor. Workshops take place on the 4th and 5th floor.

The Finnish Anthropological Society has made preliminary room reservations at special rates in two hotels in the vicinity of the conference venue. All hotel reservations should be made directly through the hotels by email or phone, quoting the conference code “Anthropology conference”. Please book early to ensure your accommodation.
