The Finnish Anthropological Society’s Christmas party will be held on Friday 12 December from 5 pm to 10 pm in the University of Helsinki premises. The event will include festive snacks, a celebratory atmosphere, music and time together. Dress code: casual + Santa hat. 

Before the party you have the opportunity to attend the panel discussion “Autoritaarisuuden kasvu maailmassa: Uusia yhteiskuntatieteellisiä tulokulmia” from 3 pm to 4.30 pm at Karolina Eskelin hall, Fabianinkatu 33. Please arrive well before 3 pm. (Note: the in Finnish only.)

Unioninkatu 40, A138. How to get there: 

  1. Be at the A entrance of Metsätalo (on the Unioninkatu side, the entrance closest to the cathedral) at 5 pm. Someone will be there to let people in. 

OR 

  1. From the main lobby of Metsätalo to the 3rd floor, walk along the long corridor to the other end of the building and go down the stairs to the 1st floor. Congratulations, you are now in the A wing, and you need to find room A138.
